It is also known to have established the first paediatric faculty in the world in 1930. In the year 1964, PRNRMU introduced the faculty of medico-biologics. It is recognized from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and World Health Organization (WHO). As of now, the university boasts of 7 faculties.  

Tambov State University: TSU was founded in 1843 and has been winning accolades ever since for its quality medical education, infrastructure and facilities. It is recognized by MCI and WHO. Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy: It was established in the year 1920 as a faculty of Nizhny Novgorod University and became independent medical institute in 1930. In 1994, its name was changed to Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy. The academy boasts of 2500 students and 4 faculties. Out of 2500 students, 600 students are from 38 countries of Asia, Latin America and Africa. It is recognized by MCI and WHO.

Astrakhan State Medical University: MBBS study in Russia is known all over the world. Founded in the year 1918, this university boasts of 4000 medical students in 70 medical departments. It has 11 faculties and provides specialization in Dentistry, Pharmacy, Paediatrics and General Medicine. Pharmacy is taught in Russian and French, Paediatrics in Russian, Dentistry in Russian and French and General Medicine in English, French and Russian.

I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (MSMU): This university was established in 1758 and is the oldest medical university in Russia. Popularly known as MSMU, it is recognized from both WHO and MCI. It boasts of 14000 undergraduate students and 15000 postgraduate students and has 9 faculties. It is the biggest university in Russia with 19 hospitals, 69 educational venues, 5 R&D centres and more than 30 laboratories.
