Places that MBBS Students should Visit while studying in Russia



Studying Medical education is Russia is just like a dream come true. Not everybody gets the opportunity to study in Russia. So while studying in Russia, you should visit some of the most beautiful places of the country during your vacations. This will be your life-time experience as you may not get an opportunity any more in life to visit these places again.  Some of the places that you must visit while studying in Russia are given below:

·    Moscow: Moscow is the capital of Russia and it is also the political and cultural heart of the country. In Moscow you should visit the fantastical St Basil’s Cathedral, the iconic Kremlin, Lenin’s Mausoleum and the glitzy Neo-Russian facade of the GUM shopping mall. In Moscow, there are some internationally acclaimed museums and art galleries. You should not miss those museums and art galleries. There are many malls, markets, boutique style shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. 

·    St. Petersburg: St. Petersburg has rich and fascinating history. You should visit Winter Palace in St. Petersburg.  In this winter palace you will find the world famous Hermitage collections. You must also visit Peter and Paul Fortness, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Summer Gardens at palatial Peterhof, etc. in St. Petersburg.
·    Novgorod: Novgorod is one of the oldest towns in Russia and it is also called as the ‘Birth Place of Russia’. You can visit museum of Vitoslavlitsi, Kremlin, Cathedral of St Sophia, the Church of Our Saviour, Yurev Monastery in Novgorod. You can also have a boat trip in the river Volkhov.
·         Vladimir: Vladimir was the capital of Russia for about two centuries. Some remarkable landmarks in Vladimir that you should not miss are the Golden Gates, the Assumption Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. Dmitry and St. Dmitry Cathedral.
·         Yekaterinburg: Yekaterinburg is known as the city of Romanovs. Some remarkable places to visit in this city are Ganina Yama Monastery, Church on the Blood, Sevastyanov's House, V. Vysotskiy Museum, The Church of Ascension, Wonder Park Galileo, etc.
 
·         Pskov & Pechory: Pskov is a historical city and has many museum and monuments. Some of the remarkable things to visit in Pskov are Clerical Chambers Museum Preserve, Two Captains Monument, Trinity Cathedral, Pogankin Chambers, Hardwareman Monument, etc. Pechory is the administrative center in Pskov. You must visit the monastery in Pechory which was founded in 1473.
